Together We’re Better transformation programme
The Together We’re Better transformation prgramme (TWB) has brought together two local authorities, six clinical commissioning groups (CCGs), NHS England and a range of NHS and private providers in Staffordshire to transform the way health and care is provided across Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent, so that it better meets the needs of local people and improves everyone’s lives.
The vision is “to move from how things are now – a fragmented and reactive system – to a future system designed around the individual”. Together We’re Better is a chance to break down traditional boundaries, collaborate with each other and share ideas and learning.
The programme has established four main workstreams that concentrate on areas that have the most chance of improving services, based on what local people have said, supported by a number of enabling projects that operate across all areas of work.
How did we help?
When the programme moved from the planning into the delivery phase the governance structure changed, and TWB identified the need to implement a portfolio management tool to support them in the governance and delivery management of the programme.
Together We’re Better selected PM3 from Bestoutcome because of its ease of use, strong track-record in the NHS and flexiblity.
Benefits to Together we’re Better
The central PMO configured PM3 to suit the governance and delivery structure of the programme and are now using it to oversee the workstreams and enabling projects. This helps ensure visibility and consistency of reporting across the entire programme, leading to increased confidence that the programme will deliver the required outcomes for the people of Staffordshire.
