NHS Sandwell & West Birmingham CCG is leading on a range on large scale transformation projects. The central PMO had a requirement to further embed their processes through technology, whilst also driving some reporting standards and streamlining current manual processes.
After an extensive evaluation and several demonstrations, NHS Sandwell & West Birmingham CCG selected Bestoutcome’s, PM3 tool.

Executives will have a special portal which will allow them to view and dive into projects, programmes or portfolios at the click of a button – this has been optimised for tablets and allows the information to be visible across the organisation. Project Managers will save time because all the information is current, relevant, accessible and reported on automatically. More time can be spent on core delivery tasks rather than unnecessary administration”
NHS Sandwell and West Birmingham Clinical Commissioning Group is a membership organisation involving 85 GP practices serving around 570,124 patients across the Sandwell and West Birmingham area. The Commissioning Group is broken down further into four Locality Commissioning Groups – Black Country, Healthworks and ICoF, Pioneers for Health and Sandwell Health Alliance – that address the needs of the population on a very local level. Over the last few years it has also become responsible for commissioning GP services.
The CCG has its own unique challenges. It has a diverse, rapidly changing population that, historically, comes from an industrial background but has more recently seen the growth of ethnic minority groups.
