Nottinghamshire CCGs roll out our PPM tool, PM3, as they move to merge

David Walton 10-03-2021

London, UK, August 05, 2019 – Bestoutcome, the leading project, portfolio management (PPM) software company, is pleased to announce the roll-out of its PM3 project, portfolio management tool by six Nottinghamshire CCGs.

The six CCGs in Nottinghamshire have been approved to proceed with merger plans to create a single commissioning body which will formally be in place by April 2020.

The driver of the merger is to enable people in their area to access ‘the best health and care services possible’ The other benefit of the merger would be to cut running costs and redirect that money to supporting local healthcare services.

The new organisation will be established on 1 April 2020, will be called NHS Nottingham and Nottinghamshire Clinical Commissioning Group.

PM3 has been used successfully in Mansfield and Ashfield CCG since July 2018 and is now being used across the 6 CCGs in Nottinghamshire.

David Walton, Director of Bestoutcome says:

“We are delighted that the new Nottinghamshire CCG organisation has chosen PM3 to manage its projects and programmes. This helps cement PM3 as the leading provider of PMO /PPM tools to the NHS”

Lindsey Sutherland, Head of the Nottinghamshire CCGs PMO says:

“We originally selected PM3 for our Mid Notts CCGs after working with Sherwood Forest Hospitals to evaluate software and we have been very happy with the product’s functionality and Bestoutcome’s support.

We are now rolling PM3 out across all our CCGs to improve visibility of change programmes and enhance reporting assurance. We also find that PM3’s usability helps less experienced project managers gain skills in timely, succinct reporting and robust management of risk.
