Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust Select PM3 as their PPM Tool
David Walton, Director of Bestoutcome says: “We are delighted that Bedfordshire Hospitals has chosen PM3 to help manage its projects and programmes. Initially PM3 will be used to manage the merger of Luton and Dunstable and Bedford Hospitals. PM3 is already being used in a number of Hertfordshire Trusts including West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust and the Hertfordshire Community NHS Trust.”
Kandarp Thakkar, Director of Integration & Transformation said,” We selected PM3 because we liked its simple interface and tailored NHS functionality. The fact that PM3 is widely used in the NHS was another factor in us choosing PM3. PM3 will be a key tool for us in managing the hospitals integration programme. PM3 is already expanding with other departments coming on board. This includes the Estates, Finance and Digital teams’. Our project managers can now work in one standard way and the project / programme highlight reports can be automatically generated from PM3.”
About Bedfordshire Hospital NHS Trust
Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust was formed on 1 April 2020 following the merger of Bedford Hospital and the Luton and Dunstable University Hospital.
Previously the hospitals were run by two separate NHS trusts, Bedford hospital NHS Trust and Luton and Dunstable University Hospitals Foundation Trust.
By combining the two hospitals we have been able to ensure the clinical sustainability of both sites and ensure that key services such as A&E, Obstetrics-led Maternity and Paediatrics can remain at both sites.
Both hospitals deliver a full range of acute hospital services to a population of around 700,000.
The new integrated Trust employs a combined workforce of approximately 8,000 staff, the largest NHS employer in Bedfordshire. The hospitals are supported by an army of 500 volunteers whose invaluable work helps the delivery of services.
