Presentation: Addicted to Outcomes

The sooner we focus on the real reasons why we do projects – the Outcomes that the business needs – the sooner we will stop having project failures.

Nobody really cares about the outputs : the new web service, or the new sales brochure, or the new super-whizzy App.

But what they do care about, passionately, is what the outputs will enable them to do : to achieve the business outcome they need (e.g. improved customer engagement, streamlined sales-force management, stronger data quality).

In this talk Mike Pryor describes how clients who have adopted an outcome-driven approach to projects and programmes have significantly increased their success rates.

This is our presentation from Project Challenge 2014 on March 12th 2014 at Kensington Olympia, London, UK
